Like many artists, it was not so much as a choice to start painting but more of an urge. I started painting after having amn urge to get a particular scene down on canvas - I found so much pleasure and satifisfaction that I really got the bug. After spending some time working out what my natural style is, I found that  contemporary, blended sea scenes to be my favourite theme.

Oilpaintingsonline was set up to allow other artists to post their site online, either to create their own gallery or to actually sell it.

Anyone can use the site - commercial or non commercial, we do not mind. We do not take any commission or charge anything to post, it is all free!
