Description

Painted in studio from pen & ink studies of boats on the wide sandy beaches with high cliffs and forests of Miedzyzdroje on the Baltic sea. It is a seaside resort in northwestern Poland on the island of Wolin on the Baltic coast.

The colors in this oil painting are what really make the piece of art. The golden expanse of sand complements the boat while drawing the viewer’s eye towards it, and the dark blue of the water helps establish distances within the painting. The textured surface makes the painting even more engaging.
