About Painting
We are in the presence of a real woman able to defend herself with intelligent humility, who captures love of others by being serious and constructive. In Silvana Galeone’s paintings there is prayer and love, meditation and faith, pleasure in creating, and the joy of giving messages of culture.
The expression on the face of the women that Silvana Galeone paints shows a sweet serenity which appears and disappears in a game of impressive spontaneity, returning successfully once again, using the same colours, diluted in tone, but strong and subtle together, which exclude insistently any signs of discordance. This is a modern artist who feels free from being conditioned, a situation which slows down the creative force: light and colours flow freely in a delicate but intense impasto giving the impression of losing their actual outline.
Leonardo Sciascia for Silvana Galeone.
